The GSG 16 rifle is actually designed as a submachine gun in caliber 22, but the long barrel with dummy silencer puts the GSG-16 in the long gun class. With the adjustable shoulder rest, the semi-automatic would otherwise be considered a handgun. The dummy silencer also functions as a barrel weight and optimizes the balance of the 22 lfb self-loading rifle.

GSG uses high-quality and particularly light material for the GSG16 – a receiver and trigger housing made of high-strength and glass fiber reinforced plastic make the KK rifle extremely robust and easy to handle.

The built-in barrel of the small-caliber sports shooter rifle is a hammered precision barrel and is 16.3 inches long. The MP style cocking lever, magazine release and safety lever can be used on both sides, giving you a weapon for left-handed and right-handed people. The extendable buttstock can be adjusted in several stages for optimal use. The Klick-Fix system used means that the KK sports rifle can be equipped with an additional magazine (not included) for quick changes at the shooting range.

5 Picatinny rails, 3 on the forearm, a full-length Picatinny rail on the top and a short one on the buttstock allow you to attach various accessories. For example, you can attach a rifle grip and a sight, such as a red dot or a telescopic sight. There is an M-LOK system under the Weaver rails on the forearm, so that the KK sports rifle can also be guided without rails, but at the same time can also be individually equipped with accessories. Aiming with the GSG 16 Sport is also lightning fast using the Ghost Sight sight. For maximum precision, the metal trigger is adjustable and perfectly matched to the 110-round drum magazine, which is available as an accessory.

To ensure that the KK rifle functions smoothly and safely, it is necessary to use KK ammunition (small caliber ammunition) with an extra strong load. Such 22lr ammunition is called “HV”, which stands for High Velocity. The higher speed of the 22 lr HV ammunition ensures that the bullet has greater kinetic energy, which leads to improved ballistic performance. This has a positive effect on the precision, trajectory and penetration power of the bullet.

The GSG-16 is a semi-automatic weapon that does not have a notice of determination from the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) and is therefore not available for sport shooters.
