The Mauser M15 for sport shooters
Mauser is a renowned German gun manufacturer with a long history and a globally recognized reputation. The company was founded in 1874 and has developed and manufactured a wide range of handguns and long guns over time. The gun manufacturer German Sport Guns, also known by the abbreviation GSG, produces various small-caliber weapons under the Mauser license, including the Mauser M20, Mauser 1911 and Mauser M15.
The Mauser M15 self-loading rifle is now also available for sport shooters! The long gun has a full-size tactical design. The small-caliber rifle manufactured by German Sport Guns (GSG) guarantees lots of fun on the shooting range. The Mauser M15 KK rifle fires rimfire cartridges in .22 caliber. Small-caliber weapons are perfect for hunting small game and plinking because the cost of the ammunition is not exorbitant.
The small-caliber self-loading rifle also stands out due to the materials chosen. The upper receiver of the Mauser M15 is made of CNC-milled aluminum, while the lower receiver is made of glass fiber reinforced but lightweight plastic. The cocking lever can be set to 3 freely selectable positions on either side. The wing safety can also be operated on either side. So you get a rifle for left-handed and right-handed shooters. The built-in barrel of the small-caliber sports shooter rifle is a highly precise hammered barrel and is therefore ideally suited for sporting use. The rifle barrel of the Mauser M15 is 16.6 inches long. The jacketed barrel is also provided with an M16x1 muzzle thread.
The folding stock can be adjusted in 3 stages for an optimal fit. The adjustable cheek rest ensures an even more comfortable hold. The flip-up sight is also included in the scope of delivery. You can also attach other optics to the Picatinny rail, such as another red dot sight or a telescopic sight. A UIT rail is installed under the barrel of the small-caliber rifle. A UIT rail, also known as an Anschütz rail or match rail, is a special rail that is often attached to small-caliber rifles. This mounting rail has a rectangular groove into which mounting rings or clamps can be inserted in a flash. The trigger travel can be adjusted for maximum precision (trigger travel approx. 6 mm / trigger weight approx. 2 kg).
To ensure that the small-caliber rifle functions smoothly and safely, it is necessary to use small-caliber ammunition (small-caliber ammunition) with an extra strong load. Such 22lr ammunition is called “HV”, which stands for High Velocity. The higher speed of the 22 lr HV ammunition ensures that the bullet has greater kinetic energy, which leads to improved ballistic performance. This has a positive effect on the precision, trajectory and penetration power of the bullet. It is supplied with a 10-round magazine. A 110-round drum magazine can also be purchased as an option.
The Mauser M15 Sport is a semi-automatic weapon that has a positive determination notice from the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) and can therefore be purchased by sports shooters. Hunters, on the other hand, can purchase it with a valid annual hunting license.
